PATHWAYS

HOME SCHOOL ENRICHMENT

About:

Pathways exists to help young people break the cycle of poverty and build lives of purpose by walking alongside them through four stages of development: Equipping, Exploring, Experiencing, and Establishing. In Equipping, students learn to answer the questions Who am I?, Am I going to be okay?, and What should I be up to? while developing character, life skills, academic foundations, and personal responsibility through the core values of Be Present, Be Respectful, and Grow. In Exploring, students discover their strengths, interests, and potential career paths through hands-on projects, employment, and real-world experiences. In Experiencing, students pursue their chosen path through college, training, apprenticeships, entrepreneurship, or career-track employment while receiving ongoing mentorship, coaching, and practical support. Finally, in Establishing, students learn what it means to build stable families, careers, businesses, and financial security while investing back into their communities and helping others succeed. The ultimate goal is not simply high school graduation, but the transformation of individuals, families, and future generations through a lifelong journey from survival to thriving.

The program leader ensures parents of HSE students are made fully aware of their responsibilities to the State as a homeschooling parent and their child's status as a homeschooler, such as complete and submit a Notice of Intent form (NOI) to a school district of their choice, per state law. Parents are informed that NOI forms are available on every public school district website, and it is their personal responsibility to complete and submit to qualify for public funding. This is communicated and explained on the HSE website, in enrollment conversations and in registration paperwork.
